Sprechen Sie Englische? Of course, 90% of the time, the response is "nein" and sometimes followed by "mien Englische ist nicht sehr besser! and we go from there. I know I crossed a mental hump when I find myself reading German websites and not even looking for the icon that switches the website language to English.
